Hey Scott,

Nice seats mate. Well done.

Can I please ask you to discuss with me any commercial offers of this nature prior to placing them on the forum, as we do have a set process in place for this type of commercial activity.

This is not your typical business referral suggestion and since you are taking orders on behalf of someone else it will either be classed as fully commercial or you gonna have to do it through a Group-Buy....all of this can be discussed off-line, so please drop me an email on the admin maillbox.

Re:

This may be a silly question, but I just want to be sure before I rule anything out.

One of the reasons that I was attracted to the xtrail was the slide rails in the back. Every now and then I have to put the seats down and put gear in the back, so these make life easier. Now, I want to put seat covers on and keep my shiny car in good nick. I assume that custom seat covers will cover up these rails on the back of the seats?

I have clicked all of the links and searched the interwebs in vain, yet have not found a single picture of the back side of the rear seats when covered!

I need to think whether it would be worth putting them on, and pulling them off whenever I need to use the back, or not bothering at all. Or maybe just putting the bottom covers on and hoping it doesn't look too odd, or buying cheap covers that I won't be upset about if they get torn (though they could get in the way).

What are your thoughts?

Re: seat covers and floor mats...

Nope. These seat covers won't cover the backing plate behind the seat and dont need to be removed to recline, the plate is easily removed, cover attached and voila, the seat can be put up/down. The bottom seat part is the same and attached with Velcro. As we all know the seat is pulled forward into the foot well then the back rest lays completely flat.

Cheers
Scott

Re: seat covers and floor mats...

Cheap and very hard wearing floor mats.

Being NOT currently employed, I try to do things to a budget! ( cheap )

For my cargo mat and drivers & passenger mats, I used 3mm thick industrial rubber matting.

1m cost me $27 ( its 1.2m wide off the roll ) I was able to cut that 1m piece to fit the floor in the cargo area. ( use Stanley box knife ) OHWS WARNING: Watch out for blood!

Used an old piece, acquired about 4 yrs ago, to cut two front mats.

Warning: initially its a bit slippery and smells, but I have had the same piece in 3 of my cars and it doesn't have a mark on it.

Total Cost for Front mats and Cargo mat $60. Go compare that with buying the tailor made stuff, which won't be as durable ( IMO ) . and would probably set you back $150

Hi Belle.

I am very happy with them and they are made to suit the model.

They are airbag compliant as well.

Regards Scot.

I believe the question was directed to "evorock" Scott in response to his post with the leather-look alike seat covers on the previous page.

Belle: Please contact Scott directly by PM and Email, as he has been instructed not to go into any commercial details in this thread and any purchasing arrangements would have to be done outside the forum.
