Re: seat covers and floor mats...
Thanks Richi,
I went to the guys you mentioned at Bexley last weekend and they fitted exactly the same black seat covers for my "black beauty" as well.
I was very impressed by the quality of the seat covers, which made the car look as if it was factory upholstered.
I recommed these guys to anyone looking for quality seat covers at a very affordable price.
Thanks mate.
Jalal

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
When we bought our exy we had (real sheepskin) seat covers for the 2 front seats only including headrests custom made by Woolly Fleece in Cairns for $465.
I have no problems with these for heat, although I do use the Air Con for the majority of the year up here in Cairns. They are also much more comfortable. Extra padding is great.
About 2 months ago we decided to get the rear seats covered. We got the Wetsuit material (because of the new bub) seat covers custom made through Autobarn for $159. This took about 2 weeks to order from down south and were fitted free of charge by Autobarn.
For those who bought leather seats. Why cover them? If you want to cover them, you should have gone for the standard seats. That why we bought a TI and not a TI (Luxury).
Kind Regards

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
I'm now considering an upgrade to leather seats, but I can't find any place that would be able to convert my existing seats to leather here in Australia.
It has been done in Canada by one xtrailer and the cost is around $2000+ AUS. but looks awesome.
They even cover the centre armrest and door plastic in leather.
The company apparently has a contract with Nissan Canada to do their leather seats for the xtrails and other cars. They also ship ready made leather covers worldwide, in which case the price is reduced by $800 for the installation.
The company is AutoSkin

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
OK Guys,
Who is interested in converting their standard seats to genuine stylish Italian leather?
I have just received a quote from the company that makes these leather covers in Canada and they were very pleased to get an inquiry from Australia.
They quoted me a price of $685 US (plus shipping) to supply exactly the same style of covers as the ones shown in the pics I posted earlier, they will also supply the leather cover for the centre arm-rest and the black part of the door pannel.
You can choose any colour combination you like from their range on the web site.
If we get anough interest, we might save on a group order and of course shipping.
Let me know what you's think.

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
Hi Jalal and all,
Just found this on ebay.com.au - Melbourne company doing full leather-look seat covers. I'm guessing the quality won't match the Canadian ones, but neither will the price!! $300 for front pair, around $500 for full set.

Cheers,
Brenton

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
Great find there Brenton.
Although you can't really compare when it comes to genuine Italian leather, but the price difference makes it worth considering.
I have emailed them for more details and pics (if they have any)

Re: seat covers and floor mats...
Hi Brenton and all,
I've been communicating with Ultimate Auto Trim the link for which you have supplied in the above post and here is the information I received from them:
1. They do make full set covers for the exy and the good news they can exactly match the above colour scheme similar to the genuine italian leather (which is dark grey and light grey in the middle).
2. The set includes centre arm rest and door pannel covers.
3. The Headrest will be covered in full. They can't make that whole in the middle.
4. They can't make the X-Trail logo, but they will be able to embose the Nissan logo on the front seats. (similar to this)
5. The front seats will be covered from the back with the same material and will have map pockets.
6. The price is $500 for a one-tone set and $600 for the 2-tone set (similar to the Italian style leather)
7. If you're in Melbounre fitting is free, interstate get free shipping.
8. The guy assures me that the covers are very easy to fit, so it's a DIY type of job.
9. They guarantee against any cracks..etc. and they also gurantee 100% fit OR you get your money back. This is what they claim
quote: I am not using 100% vinyl. it got leather inside, and I can guarantee it won't crack like other cheap material. all the pattern and stitching exactly the same like 100% leather
These are some samples of the stiching they use:
This the colour range they have:
Unfortunately they did not have any pics of a covered by them xtrail.
What do you boyz think?
