Re: Exy Insurance Cost Comparison

I think i'm the highest - $1200 per year full comp (under 21 driver)

But i put the car in my dads name for that reason and he has max no claim bonus, which brought it down to something like $435 per year (which i had to pay of course, not my dad)

cheers, Matt

Re: Exy Insurance Cost Comparison

Mine is comprehensive insurance with RACV (no finance, No 1 rating, no under 25 drivers, $400 excess). Had paid $430 in Jan for the Commodore, paid an extra $92 to change this policy for the XTrail for 11 months I guess, so that makes it about $530 per annum - mind you, when we lived in Brunswick (inner Melb) the year before, the Commodore was $780, so postcode makes a big difference.

Hi Richard emoticon

That price is excellent, but the catch is that it's only available in SA, which I guess it's good for you, but not us here in NSW and other states emoticon

P.S. I like Lone Ranger too, but Richard The Ranger sounds better LOL

Re: Exy Insurance Cost Comparison

hey all - still waiting to pick up my x-trail..... 7 days and counting due to lazy accountant..
Annnyway I got it insured today - for me and the mrs 26 and 25y.o. through Savings and Loans Credit union - I think they deal with CGU.
I couldnt believe the price - $452.95 - or $37.70 per month. Thats including all the accessories - $1500 for the wheels
Not sure but I reckon I have got the best deal on here. Only thing that worries me is whether they will pay out if the need arises... Wonder if its too good to be true? Ill have to read the paperwork.

hi powerbomber,

It would appear I have made a mistake! Even thought they quoted us the above price $480-ish that was wrong. We got our bill today and the actual insurance price is $408.01 a year. This equates to $34.00 a month :-).

May the games begin….. ;-)
