Looks good,

But does that front nudge bar now hang down below the bottom of the car, and therefore reducing your ground clearance ?

Hi Goeff,

Yes it does, but it's not that low in reality, but yeah it's still lower than the genuine Nissan one.

You can either look at it from the point of less clearance or providing extra protection to the bottom of the car, I think I can live with that, as I'm not an all time off-roader anyway emoticon

Re: Xtrail accessories

I have to agree that the nudge bar does look rather low... I guess if it clears anything that it goes over, there's no need to worry about the object hitting anywhere underneath your X-Trail!

I would be interested in parking yours and ours side-by-side (or nose-to-nose) to see how much lower your nudge bar is than the standard Nissan one...

It probably only looks very low because it's shiny, and is more noticeable than the black cover that is on the bottom of the Nissan nudge bar emoticon

OK, Rich, give me a yell next time you're close to Sutherland and we can have a look. I know for sure it's a bit lower than the standard Nissan one, because I think you can see yours from the drivers seat when looking over the bonet, I can't see mine emoticon so I think it's a bout 3cm lower.

But when I looked at it really close yesterday and especially at the bottom edge, it actually lines-up with the bottom plastic protection at the same level, it looks much lower in the photos I posted earlier, but it's not that bad.

Put it this way, a dog jumped in front of my car and I went over him, just to see him coming out from the back of my car holding a bone and smiling (Just kidding of course) emoticon

Hi All,
If you are interested to see the ARB nudge bar go to http://www.arb.com.au/ click on protective equipment, bull bars, Nissan.

And there it is. Not bad at all.

Regards

Dave

Re: Xtrail accessories

Hi Guys,

Today I fitted a very nice rear bumper scuff plate and side kicks.

Very easy to fit and looks very nice.

Got them both from Nissan at Sutherland at trade price emoticon

The guys at nissan must know me by now, as I'm there nearly every weekend emoticon

On the other note, I've read in the "other" forum about a guy scoring a fuel cap holder from a nissan dealer in Melbourne (i think it was Melbourne) but when I ask nissan here in Sydney, they say they don't have it.

Anyone had any luck in finding the fuel cap holder?

It was me that got the fuel cap holder. I got it for $2.75. They have a heap on the desk and I can get them for anyone who wants one and send it on. Just let me know. Plus postage of course. Wouldn't be much its just a small piece of plastic.

Re: Xtrail accessories

Well I got my colour coded ARB nudge fitted the other week for $440 all up. Looks a treat, but be warned. you lose the standard tie down points only to be replaced by two small towing eyelets on the nudge bar brackets. Problem is they are very small and won't except any shackles I've tried thus far. Any ideas for new towing/recovery points????
