I think this is how we broke my relatives one at Stockton recently??

Mine is. It just makes feel live driving a tank off-road with this thing under the exy LOL. Nothing will stop it and it as tough as.

Re: bash plate
Sounds like a good plan Nathan which will benefit many members of our forum, so am for it and will help any way I can.
The draft template is with Rich, the actual bash plate is with me (it's still off the exy), so if you need both of them to take with you and do some investigation, you're welcome to do so. I can live without my bash plate until a proper model is done which would suit both auto and manual xtrails (mine was made-up for the manual, so I still need a bit more protection)
Give me a yell and you will be more than welcome to borrow it.

Re: bash plate
Brett,
If you're in a hurry to get one and you're coming to Sydney anytime soon, bring your plate and we'll grab mine and go to have one made-up for you on the spot at a local steel factory
