Re: T30 bash plate

Dear T30 Owners,

I have successfully negotiated a deal with the existing T31 bash plates manufacturer to produce T30 Bash Plates for us and am happy to report that they will be available in stock and can be purchased through the Online X-Trail Shop within 1-2 months.

A shipment is being organized for 20 T30 bash plates as I type this.

This is how the T30 Bash Plate looks like and you can tell straight away that is larger than the previous version and protects the entire front section of the exy. It also includes the oil change access hole. Made of 2mm Steel and weighs 10Kg, it will be the perfect investment to protect your exy off-road.

The other good news is that this larger bash plate will be priced at almost the same price as the other one (shorter style) we had. Based on the calculations so far the new bash plate will be priced at approx. $490.00

You can start reserving your bash plate by adding your name to this thread or sending an email to the Online Shop page HERE

Re: my custom aluminium bash plate

After deciding to go to my mums farm for a fish and a bit of a 4wd we headed down only to realise that after all this rain the grass was up to the bonnet. we headed up the track well " where i remembered the track was' and hit quite a few rocks along the way, knowing that i had recently made my bash plate 3mm sheet and had reinforced the lowest point with 2 lots of 6 mm plate i didn't really care to much since it has had quite a thrashing the past 3 months since making it. welllllll when we got back to the house on the cement driveway i decided to expect the damage lets just say it looks like the incredible hulk has hit it full on bending the 2 lots of 6 mm plate like cheese and basically reshaping my whole bash plate. thank goodness it was made for free but majorly considering making a stronger one..... maybe out off 6 mm sheet or even 3mm stainless?

Re:

Sometimes it's not the thickness of the bash plates that matters, it's the way it is attached to the chassis and I found the one that is made and tested professionally to be more than adequate in off-road situations.....maybe not on your mum's track though LOL emoticon

Re: T30 bash plate

its attached very well and doesn't really move its mainly dinged up where there is a open area behind it and has room to stretch. it did exactly what it was designed to do. When ii hit the rocks there where some solid "thumps"... I'm going to make the next one out of 2 or 3 mm stainless just for that added surface strength. at least the aluminium one was an easy template to make cause the minor adjustments to angles etc where easy to do. I'm thinking of extending this one to a full underbody plate.. in segments of cause. to cover the gas tank and running gear.

Re: T30 bash plate

Hello Jalal - Been a while but got around to bash plates having fixed the dread oil sump. Been reading this thread and got a bit confuzzed. On page 36 you say the T30 bash plate are no longer made, do you mean the ones you show on page 8 ? emoticon

Yes, that's correct. The style shown on page 8 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.
