Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Linc,
Just ring them up and tell them NOT to do the tint for you and refund you the money just for the tint.
Believe me mate, you wont be happy with the colour of tint they gonna use!
I had mine factory tinted and they used so called "drakest legal" 35% greenish tint (not black).
You'd better off doing the tint somwhere else and in the colour and drakness you like.
Check the Q&A section for more details about window tinting.

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Linc,
Just tell them you changed your mind and don't want to tint the car anymore. They can't force you to tint it. The refund is not that huge anyway, somewhere around the $300 dollar mark, so they're not making huge money out of it anyway.

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Excellent! Just ask for the 20% (in black) on all windows (except the windscreen of course).
Be sure to ask how much is that going to cost you through the dealer and then give the tinter a buzz and ask how much would it cost if you do it directly through them.
I think nissan use Solace.

Re: New Member with a difficult decision
Linc,
We got the dealer 2 do the tint & we r pretty happy with it , well maybe a shade darker would b nice.hehehehe.
My dealer told me the same spin aswell about the tint being as dark as legal.
I think its to do with insurance etc. if u have an accident @ night u can blame the tint, blah, blah, blah.
But I know a bloke who chose to get his ford territory done after market & its heaps darker. looks great.
Maybe consider trying to swindle them for another option in leui of the tint price ie: bonnet/lamp protectors & windshields or something u didnt get,& do the tint after market.
