Re: stainless steel muffler (aftermarket)
Does the twin pipe mod offer any performance gain over a single outlet or is it just for the looks?
What I mean by this is I assume the mod is better than the standard monstrosity (i mean muffler) but if you changed to what you guys have done but with just a single outlet.
Do you get my drift?
Its late & I should be in bed.

Re: stainless steel muffler (aftermarket)
Dave,
Tha claims made by Hi-Tech Mufflers do state that the twin pipe configuration would increase performance slightly, but it is more directed at better fuel economy with better outflow and less restriction to the exhaust system.
Having it done with a single outlet wont give you the same result.
All 3 of us who have done it so far will be monitoring both fuel consumption and performance gains and we will report back with solid confirmations.
At this stage it is too early to tell.

Re: Hi Tech Mufflers Offer

Hi Guys,
We (Noel and I) were at the muffler shop today fitting the 3rd set of twins to Noel's exy (yummmm ) and the owner has extended the following attractive offer to our forum.
He would like a volunteer exy owner to accompany him to their factory in Bathurst so they can do a template of the twin muffler combination to enable them to simply post it to other States and countries overseas and the mod can then be installed by the owner and it will be a simple DIY bolt-on process with no welding required.
For your trouble you will score the twin muffler mod for HALF price (i.e. $440 instead of $880)
This will take a whole day, so if anyone is interested, please contact me and I will put you in touch with the owner.
The first member of the forum to respond will score this deal and there can be only one taker.
OK Guys,
So, no takers for this offer? This would mean that this upgrade will be available to those in Sydney only
It's a shame really and I wish I had this offer being made available to me before paying the full amount.
So far, I'm only noticing the good things this upgrade has done (one of them is my fuel economy).
I will let you all know when I go through the full tank, but so far it looks VERY promising.
P.S. I'm not affiliated with Hi-Tech Mufflers at all and only trying to help members of this forum score a good deal.

Hi-Tech Mufflers Offer
Hi Guys,
Thanks to those who replied. The offer has been taken-up by a member of our forum.
Details will soon be worked-out between the member and Hi-Tech and I (or the member) will post a follow-up on the results about the availability of a template for the "twins" to other States and Countries.
I also believe Hi-Tech will be publishing this information on their web site.
