posticon Kangaroo Vs X-Trail

Kangaroo 1 x-trail 0. Last night I hit a medium sized roo on the drivers side of the nudge bar. I was doing around 80ks and the bumper was distroyed from the headlight down. I wish they made a proper bullbar for our x-trails after seeing what a roo does it.

Re: Kangaroo Vs X-Trail

Bad luck. Never hit a kangaroo myself, but we did hit a horse once. Made a fair mess of the Toyota Lite Ace (even though we were only doing 60 kph). Guess the insurance company will hit your no claim bonus (or are you on life time rating one?) - that is unless you got the name, address and licence plates of the kangaroo. David M

Hi Silver,

Bad luck mate. The roo sure does know which car to pick on, so he/she has taste. hehehe

This brings us back to THIS discussion topic about the quality and design of the factory nudge (if that's what you have)

Re: Kangaroo Vs X-Trail

There was a picture of an X-Trail fitted with what appeared to be a substantial steel full bumper (with winch mount) on one of those Japanese sites Jalal knows. Unfortunately, even with translation I couldn't make much sense of it. Would be great if we knew someone in Japan who could find out more ...

Hi Rob,

I think this what you mean emoticon

I had it translated to English and it's very clear to me. It costs a fortune LOL

Any other detail you wanna find out about it? emoticon

Actually, it's not that bad at $1000AUS (excluding shipping).

That's the one. It would be easy enough to have a local fabricator add a brush guard to it. Might have to upgrade the front springs and shockers though, depending on the weight.

Nice find Silver emoticon

This must be new, as I've never seen it before.

Manufactured by Barjo Engineering, based in Orange, NSW.

They don't have a web site however.

Looks very solid and gives the exy that beastie look.

Did you inquire about the price yet?

The one next to it is what I have and it's manufactured in South Africa.

This bar looks pretty good. I would be interested to see what it's price is.

I wonder how heavy it is??
