Re: Newbie Intro's

I was thinking of going down to the local exhaust place and getting a thinner one. Has anybody done this?

Re: Newbie Intro's

My nams is Tin (Tino66) married with 2 boys (8 and 5). We have 2 cars, a 2001 Avalon which I take to work and a 1984 Camry for the wife to take the boys to school. The Camry was getting worse every year so we decided to replace it with a new car and after much research, we picked up our new Exy last Friday.

It 's a December 2004 build, automatic Twilight ST with Leather Seat, Nudge Bar,Roof racks,Tinted windows,Tow Bar,Cargo Blind, Integra Sidesteps and Rubber Matts. I bargained so hard that there were only $50 dollars difference between the last two dealers out of seven in Sydney.

As this is our first 4WD, I am planning to take a basic trainning lesson, prepare some recovery gears and then go up to Stockton beach and other places. Well, enough intros I think. Happy Xtrail everyone and keep up the excellent work.

Hi Tin.
Welcome to this site & congratulations on your purchase of an X-Trail.
Good to have another member. Is this your first Awd/4wd vehicle ? Where do you live?
We have a trip organised to Stockton Beach on the 19/3/05 with about 6 to 8 vehicles going ( not all Exy's, but anyone is welcome) we are staying at Birubi Caravan Park for the Weekend. You are certainly welcome to come along & bring the family.
Just let us know A.S.A.P.
Have you been driving on Stockton Beach before ?

Catch you later

Dennis

Re: Newbie Intro's

Hi Tin,

Congrats mate!

So, you finally made the big decision and found a bargain and you have decided to get the leather seats (instead of bargaining for the Ti)

I remember you were asking the question about all of the accessories and deciding to go for an ST with all accessories or Ti.

Looks to me like you really scored a bargain with all of these accessories on board (am going by the figure you gave us in the accessories thread of when you were shopping around)

How much extra did you have to pay for the leather seats? Was it around $2000?

As Dennis mentioned, we have a trip coming-up to Stockton Beach on the 19th of this month and it will be great to have and your family with us.

If you can make it, just drop us a line in the Events section or send me a PM direct.

Catch ya later.

PS> Please update your location details in your profile emoticon

Re: Newbie Intro's

This is our first 4WD and I had been to Stockton Beach once but was down the beach and no where near the Sand Dunes. We have a wedding to attend on the 19TH 8( so I won't be able to make it. Hope you all have a safe trip.

Re: Newbie Intro's

I'm surprised at how many X-Trail owners used to own Pulsars...

Nissan must be doing something right emoticon

Re: Newbie Intro's

There is a fair share of ex-Camry owners here as well LOL emoticon

Who knows in 5-10 years time you would be surprised at how many xtrail owners became Pathfinder ones, seems the right direction to go for an upgrade LOL emoticon

And yes, nissan is definitely doing something right emoticon
