Re:
I don't think it's possible as the mounting points could be different, but if it is a genuine Nissan one, you can find that out by calling any dealer. If it is brand new, you might as well sell it on eBay and get an X-Trail one instead. Am sure there are plenty of Navara owners who would be interested.

Re: Nudge Bar Fittment
At last having an X-Trail & a Navara sitting in the driveway is of use.
No it won't fit but this is the forum to advertise it on you'll also need to know if its a D22 or D40 and the country it was built and the model.

Anything is possible, if you can weld you just have to customise the brackets.

I wouldn't be showing your statement above to an insurance company, especially when airbag compliance and airbag deployment is the main thing to worry about, rather than a couple of self-welded brackets.

Insurance is set by ADRs, and ADRs have limits on frontal protrusions, angles to view indicators, headlight angles...nothing yet on homemade brackets (if I am wrong, please let me know)
There are a HEAP of fabricators, making steel/plastic/Ali bars for vehicles with airbags, in Australia. If in doubt, go to an accredited fabricator.

Re:
Dave,
Am sure you know what Tony was referring to, hence my response. It's not a "shed" job and that is what I was responding to.
ALL Australian fabricators must follow ADR when producing nudge bars and must prove airbag compliance (if fitted on a vehicle that has airbags). There are no exceptions to this.

Re:
I know what your saying Jalal, and my wording did read that. Its not what I meant.
As long as the brackets are fabricated to where the original nudge bar brackets fit, then there should be no problem.
Even fitting a specific bar to my Xy, I had to drill if I remember about 8, 10mm holes in the cross bar to to suit the bracket.
To a point I believe that any nudge bar fitted, will weaken the front cross bar due to this many holes.
