Re: Nudge Bar Fittment

Well the saga has come to an end....finally....

Local Cobra SOR dealer sorted me out with fitting kits for both the A-bar and the side steps (as I was missing the 4 x curved bolts). So after an hour or so crawling around on the ground last night, got them all fitted, stuck on my spotslights, and am REALLY psyched with how it all looks.... keep looking at it thinking 'cant believe I never owned one of these before now' emoticon

Thanks again Jalal for the tip on contacting the manufacturer.. that got me out of a right bind!!

Re: Nudge Bar Fittment

G'day Alan,

Australia has several deadly animals or ones that you should be aware of e.g King Brown Snakes, Funnel Web Spiders

Drop Bears have injured several campers with their sharp claws and who wants 5-10kg of bear falling/ leaping out of a tree onto your back in the dark of night?? You shouldn't put your tent directly under Gum Trees as their branches are prone to falling off the tree and they are the favourite habitat of the Drop Bear.

Re: Nudge Bar Fittment

Hi all
Back to the topic of fitting a genuine nudge bar, 2006 ST-s , Series 2.
I was fortunate enough to pick up a nudge bar off eBay.
I would like to fit myself but the absence of the templates to align the top brackets and where to drill through the bumper could pose a problem.
Anyone out there that could share with me the manufacturer's fitting instructions and/or templates would be appreciated.
I have seen Brett's DIY and his instructions are quite comprehensive.
If it is possible to scan or photograph the info it would be great.
Cheers from Perth
Keith

Re: Nudge Bar Fittment

Don't be too concerned if they point too low - that way you will see the Hoop Snakes!

FYI Hoop Snakes are the other deadly Australian animal - When they attack they put their tail in their mouth (making a hoop) and roll really fast towards you. When they reach you they spring open like, well, a spring and latch onto your face. They sometimes just do it when they want to get somewhere fast, sometimes you can see them overtaking you when you are driving through the outback..

Deadly stuff... They are more common around campfires in the Australian outback and come out when the kids should be going to bed so the adults can stay up and guard them (beer or scotch is a good deterrent so they should keep drinking it all night).

Good luck with the install, i got Nissan to do mine as drilling into the bumper scares me more than drop bears..
