18" alloys

Tyre fitter (Tyrepower Sunshine) says they fitted 18" alloys on a black exxy a couple of days ago. Was that one of us?

No problems putting 18" wheels on an X-Trail? Did you stick with the 40mm offset?

Will I be OK with a set of 18" wheels at 40mm offset, and a set of 245/45/18 tires?

Thanks,

nbhms

No problems at all and yes 40mm offset and that tyres size is perfect and spot on in terms of rolling diameter.

The 18" wheels I'm looking at are 8" wide, my worry is the front tires might rub at full turn.

8" is ok as far as rubbing is concerned. I had 8" on mine, but with a higher profile. Never experienced any rubbing.

I had 19 x 8.5 alloys before the Murano ones and there was no rubbing at all. The did stick out thought. Legally you can only go to 7.5" wide rims as the factory ones are 6.5" (that's the Australian legal limit)

I'm in Canada, not sure what the laws are here for tire width.

You better check with your local traffic/road authority as this could impact your insurance.
