Sure thing Rich. I am just going through an addictive & exciting learning phase (remember how it felt?), and very soon I will hit a impassible brick wall (financial constraints) and then move onto something totally different all together.

Don't do it Rich, no matter what you do, don't head down that old road again...... I will say no more to temp you any further. BTW thanks for your wonderful illustration of the sub installation, very inspirational.

Re: How effective is the Dynamat Xtreme?

Hi guys,

Just found this stuff from a few places around Sydney.
It is a paint-on sound deadener which is only 1kg/sqm instead of the 4kg/sqm for the sheets and cheaper too.
Thinking I might give it a go on the floorpan, firewall and sparewheel well.

Any of you audio-nuts out there (woody) heard of it or got ideas of any other light-weight stuff ?

Re: How effective is the Dynamat Xtreme?

Kev,

There are plenty of info on it at www.caraudioaustralia.com

Paint on stuff is fine for floor, firewall and wheel well, however I would not use it on the doors.

You would need multiple layers to achieve a noticeable result, so by the end it may not be cheaper or more time efficient than the stick on sheets.

Other things to watch out for are smell and number of days your car is stripped.
