Re: Tweeters Installation FAQ page
Thanks for the instructions Richi.
If only I can get my hand down that little hole
What size and specifications are those tweeters, so I could do some comparison when buying?

Re: Tweeters Installation FAQ page
Richi,
I just looked in the electronic serive manual CD and your negative wires are:
Black & Red wire for the RH
Black and White for the LH
And yes, the Ti has a specifically made-out bracket with 2 screws to hold the tweeters in place as described in the ESM, might ask nissan the price of those when I install mine.

Or you could find a wrecked Ti and salvage them for peanuts

Re: Tweeters Installation FAQ page
Richi,
I went to nissan today just to ask about the tweeter brackets and was told that they are sold as a set with the tweeters.
The cost is $101 per tweeter (and the bracket)
I think I'll be waiting for the wreckers

Re: Tweeters Installation FAQ page
Hi Richi,
Yes. They come with a crossover ready to be plugged-in to the speaker plug of our exy.

It's not hard to work out why you like the BOSS ones But remember - you wont be able to see them anyway!
True, but I was more drawn to their ability to peak at 250W which I think is pretty dam good. Although I'll sleep better knowing that I've got Chrome speakers hidden in my exy as well
quote: The problem with buying over the internet (which I think I mentioned in my FAQ) is that you don't know what they're going to sound like. The types of sound you can get from one brand/model of speaker to the next can vary greatly, and it's probably even more so with tweeters - you can get very harsh sounding ones, or very soft mellow sounding ones, and everything in between, and everyone's taste is different, so purchasing them over the internet without having the opportunity to hear how they sound is not a good idea.
I take your point, but I'm just too lazy to go out and shop around for tweeters (especially after getting the nissan price) so a $15 risk is worth it in this case and even if I'm not happy with the sound (unlikely), I'll be happy with their look
Worst case scenario, they'll go into my wifes car
I'll be in touch with you when these tweeters arrive.
