The main thing with these is they like to be stored standing up so I had to find a place for it somewhere in the boot... Cut away some of the plastic trim (which can't be seen with the floor inplace) and it fits perfectly wedged next to the spare. Second thing was to have an adapter for the top to use the same jacking points... So I cut off the top of the old scissor jack and welded it to a square tube piece (could have been round pipe if I had it). Works great and a lot stronger and easier to use than the old scissor jack.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Mon, 15 May 2017 22:36:56 +0000 Re: Xtrail Jack.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869317,from=rss#post869317https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869317,from=rss#post869317I have never used the factory jack Got one from k-mart that can lift front or rear section and much safer. Of course, I won’t be able to carry it around (due to size) but should a break-down happen on the road, road side assistance is the way to go nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Sun, 26 Mar 2006 16:06:30 +0000 Re: Xtrail Jack.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869316,from=rss#post869316https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869316,from=rss#post869316Well I can say it's a pretty cr@p one that's for sure. Mine's a Series II and I had trouble with it on the beach while jacking it out of a bog. I simply went to the wreckers and bought an old hydraulic Toyota one for $15. Problem solved. nondisclosed_email@example.com (AussieMINI)Sun, 26 Mar 2006 13:05:56 +0000 Xtrail Jack.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869315,from=rss#post869315https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p869315,from=rss#post869315Hi All, I have a 2002 Xtrail ST. I havnt seen much comment on the Jack that is supplied with the car, I find its scary even jacking the car up with it in my workshop, I think it would be impossable on the side of the road etc, has there been any word from Nissan on the subject...   Kev...nondisclosed_email@example.com (sunbeam590)Sun, 26 Mar 2006 12:29:10 +0000
