Re: Rear spoilers

Hi Guys,

Was doing a garage clean-up this morning and stumbled across a spoiler I had there which I totally forgot about LOL emoticon

I test-fitted this spoiler and took some pics, but am still unsure if it looks nice or a bit over the top, so I need your honest opinion and advice here please:

It does seem to go well with the hyper roof rails, but I am still not sure. Maybe that is why I never installed it on my exy for all this time emoticon

Re: Rear spoilers

Would look better on an Xtrail without roofracks or hyper-rails I think.
At the moment on yours it looks like it partly obscures the rear highmount tail-light.

It doesn't Kev. That was the first thing I checked and the brake light which is at the top is clear and visible from a car driving behind me.

Jalal I prefer the look of your new spoiler over the standard Nissan one - I'd keep it on

Thanks Guys emoticon

I showed this spoiler to Noel as well and he agrees that it completes the roof of my exy perfectly, so it has been permanently fitted this morning emoticon

John, I believe you have inquired about it before and I have confirmed that it is indeed a dust deflector and sun-shade at the same time. The edge of the tailgate dust deflector sits flash with the roof and goes over the glass section of the tailgate, which in turn ensures that oncoming dust while moving forward is blown away from the glass and most likely onto the upper edge of the bumper or further (depending on your speed). I don't think a dust reflector will be any good in a reverse type situation LOL emoticon

Hi Guys
Has any one purchased the dust deflector/sun shade from the Xtrailshop?
can any one tell me if it ealy does keep the majority of the dust off?
What have you experienced?
Im interested in getting one if they work
I have to drive on a long dirt road to get to my girl friends and its runing the rear windsceen wiper lol

Re: Rear spoilers

Hey Jalal

I fitted the rear spoiler on the weekend and it looks a treat! And just in time, too. My wife had the exy over at her mother's place on Sunday when the place was trashed by a severe hail storm emoticon .

Although we suffered quite a few dints (rear roof, bonnet (1), sides), the rear window was spared any damage (the tail end of the exy was sticking out) - I presume due to the spoiler acting as a shield emoticon .

But the sad news is that now the top of the exy is riddled with pock marks made by the bloody hail. Initial estimates = over $1,500 damage 8(

I will post some photos before the exy goes in for repair.

Re: Rear spoilers

Sorry to hear that Steve emoticon

There is an existing thread for the T31 spoilers and if you can use the "general" section to post pics of the damage, it'll be great.

I hope they can fix it soon.
