Re: Roof Boxes (Luggage Pods)
It didn't bother me either as usually I store stuff up there which I don't need to access until I reach my destination anyway

Re: Roof Boxes (Luggage Pods)
I've got a Thule Atlantis 600 pod, 340Litre which in 2006 cost $636 from TJM in Mackay, on Nissan roofbars.
What a boon, all sorts of stuff got stored up there, even the gardening tools for the 10months I was in Darwin and had nowhere to store them where I was living.
I never found it to make a noticeable difference in fuel consumption. Only once have I been in winds strong enough to be aware of it on top. Of course, it's a hindrance for shopping centre car parks and low branches.... and they don't fit thru automatic car washes.
