Re: Arnhem Land trip out

The frieght bit kills the price. Talking to Bob (the bloke that runs the pannel shop & a friend of the family) he said that freight on the parts was going to be about $400 by barge, or if i was willing to wait a month or so he would get a mate to drive over with it for a few cartons. But due to insurance paying, barge it.

Barge? where are you? in New Zealand? LOL emoticon

What happened to road express???

Where are the parts coming from mate? I hope not Japan.

Ask Bob to try and source some of the parts from THESE guys and you'll get it quicker and you both can save.

Re: Arnhem Land trip out

Everyone gets sluged by perkins shipping, in or out. As for road its only dirt and only open for 6 months of the year. And I think there is a load limit on the road.

Re: Arnhem Land trip out

That's fair enough. Was only kidding with you anyway and thought I'll show you the prices of some genuine new Nissan parts compared to dealer prices emoticon

On a brighter note, your photo has now been added to the Intro Page of our forum emoticon

P.S. I think you seriously need to consider the Barjo Bullbar with the driving conditions there. I think the damage would have been considerably less had you had one of those bullbars during impact. Just a thought.
