Treks around Melbourne

Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone knew of any X-trail friendly trips around Melbourne, especially the western district. Am thinking of hitting the Otways, but not too sure of what awaits me there. Any ideas or info very much appreciated, as are travelling buddies.

Try Wombat\Lerderderg forests, there's a number of easy tracks I use. There's a bit of everytrhing in the Otways. Brisbane Ranges, all tracks are closed but there are plently of dirt roads. Hit me offline if you want to get out sometime.

Would like to keep in the loop. Because I often have flexi time available, weekdays are usually easier for me.
