Re: Removing Tail Lights

Hi Jalal,
Yes it is the first time I have had or tried to remove the tail light assembly.
The difficult part is actually finding somewhere to get a decent grip, both top and bottom.
Both top and bottom I can sort of get my fingers between the lens and the panel so I will give it another try.

And that's all you need to do, get your fingers at the top edge of the lens and pull as hard as you can. There is no easier way to remove them without damaging the paint-work if you decide to jam something in there behind the lenses.

Re: Removing Tail Lights

So, just top first, or do I have to do both top and bottom together at the same time ?

Just the top Kev, try and slot 4 fingers (2 each hand) in there and pull hard.

Re: Removing Tail Lights

Hey Kev

Can you start a DIY guide on how to make that cool Tail Light Assy remover! emoticon

Could have used one of them when I did my extra tail lights.

May be Jalal can include one with the new LED tail light assemblys if he can get them over here emoticon

Yes I found them hard to get off the first time. Something all Exy owners go through.

Cheers
Les

Re: Removing Tail Lights

Hey Jalal

I've just read your advice on an earlier question to the same question I posted today after joining the Forum regarding how to remove the rear tail light assembly.

Sounds like you had a lot more nerve than I did but I'll give it a go in the morning.

I'm enjoying the forum already.

Thanks,

nimmo1
