Hello From North Brisbane

I have just acquired a 2008 T31 TL auto 2.0L diesel, 133,000km.

After picking it up from the dealer, on closer inspection, I found oil on the air filter and air intake housing after the air filter.

I brought it to the mechanic recommended by the dealer. The mechanic tried to replace the Turbocharge Boost Control Solenoid Valve but it did not work so he put back the old one and told me not to worry about the "blow-by" that got on the air filter.

On searching for known issues, I found this forum. I have read quite a bit on the "oil in air filter" thread and I hope to find a way to understand it more and to fix the issue if it is deemed serious.

Thanks for having me.

Cheers

Dan
