james steps into the room to be seen and advised

hello experienced exy owners.

ive been a lurker for a couple of years but looks like i might need some help with issues as they occur now.

i live in north eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

ive got a 2007 ST-S petrol exy that i brought with 35000ks on the clock (was used by a old guy as a shopping basket for most of its life) about 2 years ago.
it has a sunroof and mini bull bar with spot lights mounted but not connected

it doesn't have a 40th anniversary sticker.
it has had the air bags and front brake disks changed and has service stamps done up to 100000ks

so far ive changed the stereo to a 2 din android player (isdar not so good)
changed a front left wheel bearing and installed roof racks.
love the flat floor for throwing all sorts of stuff in the back and the clearance for driving over all the s*** on the roads in melbourne.

have driven it a bit round rural vic sometimes towing a small homemade camper box similar to a small caravan. happy to drive on easy gravel roads and on farm paddocks but rarely have put it in 4wd.

buying a car with such low ks means where most people have already gone through the issues im only seeing them now ten years later. makes it a bit harder to find the latest advice on parts and suppliers, and i would like recommendations for a mechanic.

have just hit 50000ks and have recently had a couple of engine stalls while driving (restarted while in motion) then this week had a big jerk/shudder on motorway and the orange engine light came on.
looks like i need to change my crank and cam sensors!

anyway look forward to participating in this forum.

James
