main fuel pump level sender thingy under the seat Good day gents.
I'm curious, the T30 2.0 petrol fuel gauge issue had me puzzled so I decided to take the main fuel pump filter assembly thing out from underneath the back seat passenger side. its seen better days after 212k kms. its gone brown and brittle, and the circuit board looks toast, so i decided to ask my local dealership for a quote on a new one.. R4500 which is about $AU427 and that is just the part .. At amayama its about $AU332 and that's without the shipping cost to south africa.
decided to check the wreckers and prices range from $AU138 to $AU280. Ebay sells the Chinese version for $US51. but shipping to South Africa apparently is too much effort.
so my question is Where do you guys buy your parts if not from Nissan or Amayama. and what would the price be? anyone bought one recently? im sure buying one from the wreckers is a no go.
Re: main fuel pump level sender thingy under the seat I'd just use the Chinese one, it should come with a new seal and be up to spec as far as cheap OEM is concerned. I've used them in other cars, never an X-Trail though. Maybe someone else can give more specific feedback. At $51 you have little to lose (unless it explodes!)
