Wiper blade replacement / upgrade review

Just installed new front and rear wiper blades on my T31 with a kit from WiperTech (T30, T31, T32).

Very impressed after giving them a test. Keen to see how they hold up in the snowy mountains this year too after a few nights sub zero camping, will update the post later in the year.

Advantages. Very easy install to very nice upgrade to improve everyday driving. Operates with no chatter or squeaking noises. No streaking marks on the widescreen. Also the design is very clean looking with the curved blade and euro style blade covers on the front. Finally, it is an Australian company so good to support local business emoticon ...but looks like the blades are made overseas emoticon .

Disadvantages. Doesn't look like the rubber blades are replaceable with a refill kit, so whilst at $79 with a discount for three blades is ok value compared to other premium wipers (Bosch, Tridon etc), I question the longer term value compared to something like the Tridon CurveBlade and it's cheaper refills. At least the WiperTech blade holder is made to be recyclable. Also, I don't know why, but the T30 blade kit is more expensive than the T31 kit too emoticon Finally, not locally made like the Australian Jenok brand.

Re: Wiper blade replacement / upgrade review

Hi Nick.

I have purchased replacement inserts for both front and rear wipers from Repco. There are 2 sizes for the front.....6mm and 8mm. The front inserts slide in easily.

The rear insert is 6mm and was a little bit more difficult as it won't simply slide in.

see attached link for my post on replacing rear wiper blade insert.

cheers

Great stuff, thanks for posting this dipeek. I will be interested to how these WiperTech blades go over the year compared to OEM product. Must say, being vain, I do like the more modern look of these new blades emoticon
