Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades
How is the colour of the yellow foglight Tom ?
Is it a deep yellow or more of a dull white ?
How is the foglight pattern ?
Is it like a true flat beam foglight or more of a round beam ?

Re:
The wiring is already there to connect to, so all you need to do is add a relay in the fog light position in the fuse box under the bonnet and either put a separate switch or grab a replacement steering stalk that has the fog light switch from the wreckers and it'll be a direct swap and will give the factory look and feel.

Re:
Yes for the fog lights stalk but not sure about the wiper one. I think it may work but I can't remember if I changed it when I had a T30 ST years ago. I "think" I did.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades
Just updated the headlights on the second car to LED.
I can totally recommend the Hikari LED lamps I got from Amazon Australia.
They use Osram LED chips and are 9600 Lumens/set (4800/lamp).
Easily more than twice as bright as a standard halogem globe and completely keep the same beam pattern and light cutoff.
These were the HB4 for lowbeam and HB3 for highbeam.
Seriously considering getting a set of H4 globes for the T30 Xtrail to replace my older LED lamps I've had for quite a few years.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades
Hello,
My 2012 x-trail has failed on low beam projectors, tried new h11 bulbs +150% light from osram with no results. Same very poor light on low beam. Later discovered that mirrors behind low beam projectors lost mirror finish due to heat. After that i decided to make a new step: Upgrade to bi-led projectors. Price for a led projector pair was 100$ on Aliexpress. I bought a defective headlamp from scrap to test fit on it and project started. Remove lens from lamp, dismantle everything and start to mock an adapter. The led driver was glued inside of the headlamp. The result was extraordinary and the headlight look from factory with no other wires than stock ones.
Bi-led projectors
Old H11 projectors
Headlight enclosure
Projector support & high beam
Bi-led projector fitted
Finally it was a full day work(removing front bumper, headlights, dismantling headlights, assembly of led projector, closing the headlight, install on the car, seting aim again, bumper on) but it worth!
