posticon Hello! Wanting advice on which Exy to buy.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for having me! I was just wondering which x-trail I should look at buying?

I want to sleep in it on a couple of yoga mats, so the seats need to go down flat.

I want a turbo diesel, auto or manual.

And I want a 4wd.

Are there any favourite years, makes or models that anyone recommends? My budget is around $12-14k and someone was saying the 2011-2014 models are the best for the flat seats.

Thanks so much in advance!

Ali

Re: Hello! Wanting advice on which Exy to buy.

Hi, I'm a newbie too, I bought a 2012 ts diesel manual exy last year for the amount you are looking at. I and i think it is everything you are looking for.
I personally only sleep one in the back, the seats go completely flat. I bought that particular model because I was told it has a gutsy enough engine to tow should I ever wish too, and because it's diesel it didn't matter so much that it has a few miles on the clock. Be prepared for a search because they are hard to come by. I live in S.A. and I had to fly to Newcastle to buy it, I then took 5 days to drive it home living in the back, so I cloud say it was my maiden voyage. But then the world shut down for covid.
I did however manage a 20day 3500km trip from S.A. to N.T. in Sept 2020.
And a week in Vic for Xmas to visit the Grandkids with my hubby ( he slept in a tent).
I love it, it's never missed a beat and I'm looking forward to may more trips in it.
But I also love the fact that I have a car that I'm still comfortable with to take, shopping ext.
Hope this helps
Lucy
