Hi All.

I bought the GM s10 4x4 shocks.
They are a litle longer than the sacks standard one.

I will try to install they.

Re:

They sure look a lot longer

Any idea where those Monroe's are made? (the part info is not clear on the picture)

When you switch them over, please let us know the length difference you can measure! Also, please confirm the fully compressed length difference also, just in case. Not sure when the bump stops are needed, but those shocks could have an 'internal cushion'. In my experience, if the body's bump stop doesn't activate in time, the cushions will disintergate in no time.

Re: Standard rear shock length - T31 VS after lift

I feel the picture is deceptive.
Your standard shock is partly compressed since it is still bolted to the suspension and the Xtrail is sitting on the ground. Unbolt the standard shock and allow it to extend fully to compare the difference more accurately.

As roid states, you really need to consider the compressed length as well since a longer shock which does not compress to the same short length as the original means you will lose some articulation.

Rev,

You are right....
After we take off the shock from x-trail the S-10 is only 8mm longer...

Because of this very small difference I will test toyota hilux 2008 rear shocks.
