Hi everyone from New Zealand.....I'm a new member introducing myself as John.I have recently bought a 2013 t31 ST xtrail with 14,500 kms on it.It was a statutory aussie writeoff (Had minor shunt to the rear)which has been professionally repaired in NZ

Interesting to hear your Xtrail was from over here which you had repaired over there. Is this a common thing in NZ ? I would imagine the import expenses and repair costs would make it almost the same cost as a new vehicle.

Hi Kev....thanks for the warm welcome..I purchased my xtrail from a dealer ....not sure if he had imported it or a panelbeater had .Fully repaired to Nissan requirements and VTNZ rules.I paid less than 19 k for it so do you reckon thats a good deal??

With that funny currency you use over there emoticon I'm not sure.
It's got quite low kms and if everything else is in good condition it sounds OK.
Atleast with rear end shunts, most of the main components like engine and transmission will be OK. You'll just have to keep an eye on the transmission, especially the pinion housing and drive to the rear differential to make sure none of the forces were transferred through the driveshaft from the shunt.
