Re: 2009 T31 A/C Compressor Replacement

The clutch on my compressor was burnt out, so it wasn't engaging. I'm pretty sure it was a recall from nissan but my VIN was out of the list so I decided to do it myself. I bought the clutch from Aliexpress for around $50. Ebay may have them. There's good youtube videos to show you how to replace it. Search for a/c clutch replacement on a Nissan Altima, its the same compressor. To check if the clutch coil is gone, connect a multimeter across the two wires coming out of the clutch coil and it will show an open circuit if it's no good. You can also see the coil is burnt and maybe even smell it. I put a post on this forum with a small write up about it. Hope this helps.
Good Morning,
I live in Brazil.
Did you say that the Nissan Altima compressor is really the Xtrail?
In Brazil I didn't find a compressor for Nissan Xtrail 2.5, 2012 (92600JG30A or 92600JG30B).
I saw some Nissan Altima compressors advertised, but I'm not sure what will suit me. I'm in doubt.
Do you know if there are other alternatives?
I also saw an ad for the Rogue 2011 compressor - 926002216R, only it has a mechanical valve, but the measurements are similar to mine.
If you can help me, thank you.
Happiness.

Re: 2009 T31 A/C Compressor Replacement
Easiest thing is to take the part numbers to your local Nissan dealer and ask them to check which suits and if some are just replacements for others.

I took a chance and bought a magnetic clutch assembly from Ebay for just over $60 for an Altima Sentra 2.5L 2007-2012(to keep on the shelf as a spare), as there are none advertised on Ebay to suit a T31 2.5 Xtrail. It arrived today and I can confirm the bearing, magnetic clutch, circlips, shims and the pulley are identical. I won't be fitting it until the current one fails. As for the complete compressor, best to do as Kev recommends.
