Aftermarket Valve Cover Hey guys.
I found recently some oil in the first spark plugs cylinder. Just a few drops probably - nothing major. I also have from time to time some oil marks on the cover around the ignition coils. Again nothing major, but still it is there.
So I bought an aftermarket valve cover which is a fraction of the cost of a genuine one.
After the purchase though I came upon some youtube videos suggesting there could be some problems with the aftermarket ones.
So, anyone with experience here?
I was advised to try resealing the spark plug seals of the existing original cover with some liquid gasket. Your thoughts here, please?

Re: Aftermarket Valve Cover Id be suprised if all the gaskets and seals didnt come in a VRS gasket kit you could get from an engine rebuilder.

Re: Aftermarket Valve Cover I bought an aftermarket cover which came from the USA.
I have not had real issues and no more oil leaking.
I follow the installation procedures which includes the use of some liquid gasket seal at the engine front end.
I also follow the recommended torque sequence and value.
