M9rc vs M9rd

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before however I couldn’t find anything. I’m currently seeking a replacement clutch for my 2010 T31 TL and have been informed by Exedy that there is two different clutch kits available depending on whether it’s a M9rc or M9rd engine? Is that the distinction between the 110kw and 125kw models and also how to check what engine I have? They have searched the vin number by to no avail.

Any help much appreciated!

Re: M9rc vs M9rd

Not much help, but any parts research I have done that is T31 diesel specific has only ever been in relation to the M9R engine and I have never had anyone question whether it is a 'c' or 'd', although I have not made any enquiries about clutch kits.

Have you tried contacting Nissan? I'm sure they'll be able to tell you which kit you need for your vehicle.

Re: M9rc vs M9rd

Hi,

Yea contacted one of the Nissan dealers here on the Sunshine Coast and they said they hadn’t heard of the distinction either. I’m guessing that perhaps it’s just exedy changing part numbers that year because I’ve gotten a few quotes now from other clutch repair places and like you said they only ask if it’s an M9R.
