Storing an exy for 2 months

Hey All,
Just wanted to get some thoughts on best practice with storing your vehicle without starting it for a couple months.

I'm leaving my t30 ii while I am on holiday for a couple months. Here is what I plan on doing to it before I leave.
1. Fresh oil and filter change
2. Full tank of fuel
3. Some sort of fuel stabilizer
4. Fully charged battery (will not be on a trickle charger while I am away)

It's there anything else anyone would recommend? Not sure if disconnecting the negative battery terminal for that long is advisable.

For context, I will be parking in undercover outdoor parking with no power connection over the wet season (woo be a very humid environment)

Cheers in advance

Re: Storing an exy for 2 months

I had mine sitting longer than that while replacing all the shocks and getting the pinion bearing and seal replaced.
All I did was disconnect the battery so that it would not drain flat.
Started up all OK afterwards but let it idle until warm before touching the accelerator.

Re: Storing an exy for 2 monoths

Thanks Kev,

The last time I left it for this long, the battery drained and killed itself dead (It was a dodgy battery anyways and I did not disconnect it). After jump starting to drive it the 250 km's home, I had all sorts of issues (mostly very erratic idling). I ended up having the reset the idle air volume, throttle position etc, a very painful process sitting there and pressing pedals like a fool.

I figured it may have been caused by the ECU being reset after not having power for such a long time (or perhaps the extra juice from the jump starts wiped it out?

I'll try disconnecting the battery this time, but I hope I don't end up losing all ECU settings and have to repeat the re-learn procedures...

Cheers!

Re: Storing an exy for 2 months

for two mths only - I wouldn't bother doing all that - sure, it might be better (new oil is always better than old), but I would just park it up, after you put a little extra air in the tyres (maybe 4-6psi to reduce the chance (very minimal anyway) of a negligible flat spot, disconnect the battery and lock it up with a Moisture absorber in the footwells on both side to reduce the moisture inside if it will be very humid...

something like this https://www.bunnings.com.au/moisture-absorber-300g-680ml-disposable_p4470405
