Using spare wheel well for water storage
Hi all,
Have searched pretty thoroughly and can't find anything relevant to this subject, hence the creation of a new thread.
I'm interested in using the space within my spare wheel well for additional drinking water storage. I've searched the internet for storage bladders/containers specifically for or that will fit a wheel well, but have so far come up pretty much empty handed. Has anyone made a similar upgrade and/or located a business who can provide a water storage product to suit a wheel well?
Thanks
Allan

Re: Using spare wheel well for water storage
A quick google search for 4wd water bladder found a company in Vic called Fleximake.
Have a look. The square one might fit or maybe they can custom make for you.

Re: Using spare wheel well for water storage
Thanks Kev,
I had already searched their website, as well as a couple of others, but couldn't
find anything that seemed to meet my requirements. I thought I'd try here first to see if there was something readily available before looking into having something made.

Re:
I tried this a long time ago. Couldn't find anything ready-made. I did think of donut type containers so can screw something into the existing bolt hole to secure it.

Re: Using spare wheel well for water storage
Yeah that was my initial thought too - something like a buoy. Might have to chase up one of these manufacturers and see whether there's something that can be custom made. Otherwise I might just leave the spare where it is and move to a roof option, which are available and from a 'gravity' perspective would be ideal especially with a shower attached!
