Re: Replacing the Head Unit in my 2010 T31 Morning Kev,
Yes i have got a copy of the manual and gone thought it.
Not sure what seris my model is but there seem to be so much difference between whats in the workshop manual to whats in my car for wiring
So far i have found that the clockspring is different the wiring from the clockspring to the head unit is different and the wiring from the microphone is different as mine goes from the steering wheel controls and microphone to the BCM then to the head unit which is a standard Clarion Nissan head unit.
Since installing the new Bosch navigation head unit with USB, Ipod and Bluetooth from a Nissan xtrail 2012
Ihave changed the steering wheel controls, clockspring and rewired and added new wires to the plug under the steering wheel to match what is in the workshop manual and now have got the steering wheel to talk to the head unit but still dont have a microphone as dont know where the microphone wires or plug goes as there are no spare plugs on the head unit
I need to find someone who has the Bosch head unit in there xtrail to find out where the microphone goes.
Re: Replacing the Head Unit in my 2010 T31 Hi Scotty Just wondering if you end up changing your head unit if so what problems did you run into as I have tried to upgrade my 2010 TS with a Bosch unit from a 2012 model but have heaps of issues
1) had to run new wires from steering wheel to head unit and now when you use the volume buttons it works in reverse the + button now decrease the volume and the - Button the volume increase and the microphone has squealing noises in it when I ring people
