4WD not Working T30

Hello

My xtrail is stuck in 2wd mode. I visit the garage and they say it because of a broken ABS sensor. Is that plausibele? They want to replace it. How many ABS sensors does the car have.

Is this a common problem?

Re: 4WD not Working T30

Yes a broken ABS sensor can stop the 4WD from working.
It likely just has the cable pulled out or damaged and can be common if a stick has been caught while off-road.

You should have the 4WD light on the dash illuminated though you only have it in 2WD mode.
This shows there is a fault in the system.

You could also have a faulty 4WD relay.

They should be able to find a fault code to tell you which it is.
