Re:

hey guys,

Do you know if a sump guard for a Xterra Gen1 or 2 would fit our X-Trail T30?

Re: Re:

I found this american shop that sells all sorts of undercarriage protection for Nissan Xterra and Frontier - http://www.shrockworks.com/Nissan-Skid-Plates-c-260.html

http://www.shrockworks.com/Gen2-Engine-Oil-Pan-Skid-Plate-Xterra-&-Frontier-pr-16179.html

It seems that X-trails are not sold in America and its replacement is the Xterra witch has low range.

I've emailed them asking if it would fit a X-Trail and will post here once I get a reply but they might just turn around and say that they don't know..

Re:

The front bash plate shape looks similar to the T30 one and the front mounting points may be able to be re-used, but am not quite sure about the rear mounting points.

The US didn't get the T30 and T31 X-Trail over there, so that is why it's impossible to find any parts for those 2 models in the US. I doubt they will be able to answer you, as they can't try it on unless they're close to Canada who had the T30 xtrail.

Re: T30 bash plate

Good stuff Ted, thank you very much, I've already sent them an email asking for availability.

Jalal, as you said they can't know, the guy got in touch with me saying he can't confirm if it fits, so definitely no worth purchasing.

But also got good news:
This guy from Italy sent me a 3D model that he made from a original nissan bash plate in solidworks for your own manufacturing. Here's the link from my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ofn7njetppovkdz/Bash_Plate_T30.zip?dl=0

I'll check how much it will be to get it custom made, hopefully it will be cheaper then purchasing it from Pedders, but it's great to know I have a plan B at least :-)

Re:

I have never heard of an "original Nissan bash plate", as Nissan never made one for the X-Trail. Unless he sketched the useless plastic one emoticon
