Re: Size of bolts holding calliper on to disc

Hi all,
I managed to sort the squeaking shifter by removing a side panel then the shifter cover but could not get the shifter knob to budge so I'm not sure if it's held on by a circlip or screws on, but that's a problem for another day.
Refer to THIS post on how to remove the shifter knob removed. There is a securing U shape pin you need to remove before you slide the shifter knob up.
quote: My next problem is how to remove the calipers as I want to check the rear drum shoes condition. I've managed to adjust them through the hole in the front of the drum and now the handbrake works perfectly and clicks upto 8 clicks instead of 12.
My problem is the size of the bolts holding the caliper to the disc
Are they 5/6' socket or 16mm socket also how to break the bolt when there is not much room for a breaker bar.
Thanks
Pitpan
I suggest you invest in a copy of the electronic service manual which should have all the specs and the steps on how to adjust the handbrake...etc (refer to the membership upgrade page HERE)
