Re:

I'll give Dobinsons another call tomorrow and confirm, but he did say they were for the T31.

I noticed Gramps74 had them installed and Jason G was asking about them before he installed Pedders. But thats all I have found about them on here and the net.

I'm getting the opinion that most people are going the Pedders. It's just that Pedders are charging the most from all the quotes so far. Also the 4x4 shops in the area seem to rate the Dobinsons highly, but don't say much about the Pedders.

Just looking for opinions to help me decide.

So, for those who have had the Pedders installed, is everyone happy with them? Any issues to date? I.e. Sagging, stiffness, etc..

If people are happy with them, I'll see if they can do a better price to help me decide.

Just done a deeper search. Strange it's not listed on their website but yea you're right. They do have them. I found them in the coil spring catalogue. I'm getting Dobinsons springs for my new Ranger emoticon

Ok so im very interested in doing this spring lift, most likely king springs, but I just have a question regarding the petrol/diesel springs. So the rears are the same but the front in the diesels have heavy duty where as the petrol hasnt. Now has anyone had the diesel springs fitted to a petrol? (just because fronts are HD? im presuming there is no physical difference....) if so after the settle in period does it mean the front will be less likely to drop much on a petrol(because of the HD springs) but the rear still will the usual amount and itll be different heights? thanks Brad

Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers Brad

Hi Reggie, I noticed you have a Pedders lift kit on your X-Trail, any reason you are going Dobinsons on the Ranger?

Haven't heard of anyone putting the diesel springs on petrol. The diesel engine is heavy so hence the HD spring. I think somewhere in the earlier pages on this thread people who have petrol springs in diesel feels the ride is a bit soft and sags more? I don't remember the exact details unfortunately.

A lot of Rangers I've read about have the Dobinsons springs and the Bilstein shocks combo and apparently they work very well together. Also customer service and after sales support seem to be very good.

Re:

So Reggie, if you were to lift another X-Trail, would you do Pedders again? Or knowing that Dobinsons do the springs for it, would you do that instead?

Going for the Dobinsons if I was to do it again. I was looking at replacing the Pedders springs if I wasn't selling it. I had like 100kg+ of permanent extra weight on the car on a daily basis and the Pedders on the rear are starting to sag.

I just looked up the dobinsons website. I couldn't find a listing for the X-trail. Is it only a recent thing?

It's in their coil springs catalogue. Open the pdf document and you'll find it there.

Thanks for that. Yep they're there. Any idea on the price? I've seen the Kings on Ebay for around $300. I have been quoted around $800 for pedders to be fitted professionally.
