I had the entertainment/navigation unit lose all ability to output sound twice........ both times I think were caused by problems synching with my phone....... e.g. phone was in the process of re-booting when I entered the car, and once when my phone was in a frozen state when I started up the car.
To get it working again, I had to cut power, get out, lock the car, wait for the auto lights to extinguish, ensure that my phone is up and running, unlock, get back into the vehicle, before starting up again.
Seems like the problem also exists for the American Rogue.

OK, my car had its 1,000klm first service today and yep, drove off, no radio, no phone connection, no anything. Did as you suggested and everything is magically back working again. Thanks for that info, it saved me the hassle of going back to the dealer.

It's probably a software problem. Hope they fix the bug soon.
