Odometer: Removing low external temp override?

Hi all - For my T30, is there any way to change the override "low external temperature display" feature of the odometer? Just in case that's not clear, I'm referring to the "feature" that automatically changes the odometer display to indicate the external temperature whenever it is 3 degrees or cooler outside.

I realize that it's a helpful feature for certain kinds of weather, but it's less useful when the temperatures are consistently below zero for months at a time (as it is here, currently). I'd prefer for this display to simply stay wherever I set it.

I don't think there is a way to over-ride this feature apart from disconnecting the temperature sensor itself in winter if it is bothering you that much. It is located in the middle of the car at the front just near the bonnet/hood latch, so you can simply disconnect the wiring harness of it.

I remember reading this somewhere. I think it was in the user manual. Have you checked the user manual yet?

"RTFM" is the first place that I always start, personally... emoticon

The manual was very helpful in explaining that the "below 3 degrees Celsius" default display setting exists. I'd like it to be an option, rather than an automatic override.

I don't find the external temperature information to be particularly useful, so I'll follow Jalalski's solution when we get some reasonable weather. Unless someone can suggest a different solution!
