Re: Power Window Relay
Hi to all,
I received an email from Valamas this week telling me he successfully installed the delay unit into his Series 5. Mike had sent me pictures of the BCM and its wiring and we confirmed it was the same as we had seen previously. Still we proceeded with caution as it hadn't been done before. It's incredible to think that the same module has been used without change since 2007. No doubt Calsonic Kensei must have made millions of them by now, wouldn't be a bad contract to have.
The delay unit has now been installed in Series 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. We have 2 in Qld, 2 in NSW, 1 in Vic, 1 in WA and one in Tassie. There are 2 others where they have chosen to make their own from scratch, haven't heard back on those.
Stay well,
John

Re:
Hey Sean, am not sure why you decided that you need to create a new username to ask the same question all over again!
It doesn't work like that on our forum am afraid and it is against the forum rules to be using multiple usernames.
We will now disable the new username from being used and if you attempt to create a new username yet again, your membership will be fully suspended!
You have asked the question, so have the patience to wait for someone to help you, if not, we'll I guess you gonna have to use information available yourself.

Re: Power Window Relay
Hi Jalal and all,
Unfortunately I am out of the printed circuit boards we made back at the start of the project as I was able to get these made on the side of another project I was working on at the time. I will have a look at turning the layout into a PDF that way people could make their own board if they are able to do so. It is a very simple circuit and is easily constructed on strip board or Vero board as some people know it. All the parts are available from Jaycar and I think the relay is the dearest item. unfortunately with work commitments at present, I do not wish to commit to doing any manufacturing in the little spare time I have.
Happy Xtrailing
John

Re:
That is fair enough John and I think members should put in a bit of effort in having a go at doing it themselves.
