Re:
Hi Nick and Yasu,
Nissan Australia said that they didn't drop this feature from the imported X-Trails, rather it was Nissan Japan who only made it available to their local Japanese market and did not include it as an option on any exported T31 Diesel for the rest of the world (including Australia).
Nick, can you please check this information with our Russian friends and see if any of them have this button on their T31 Diesels. I think I know the answer to this, but just to be sure.
If this is the case, we may need to find a bit more information from Japan (Yasu) to see if it is possible to have the T31 Diesel retro-fitted with this switch to achieve manual regeneration of the DPF.

Re:
Sorry mate, but this modification is an illegal one here in Australia and would guarantee your car to fail registration. We don't support such illegal modifications no matter what the benefits are.

Re:
The car was imported into your country legally based on existing and global emission standards, assuming of course you didn't buy the car as grey import. This means that the exhaust and emission components included in your car have been put there for a reason and the importer has already taken into account the available fuel/s for this car to maintain its life without impacting on the components.
The same could be said about Catalytic Converters in petrol cars. Why have them if we all know that removing them would not only eliminate the potential risks of the ceramic core breaking-up but it will also give you extra HP.
Such an argument is not a valid one unless you are living in place that doesn't give a damn about rules and regulations when it comes to emission standards and I know very well that Romania follow the EURO Emission Standard just like Australia does.
I also doubt that you can cancel the presence of the DPF from the car's ECU (fully), as to date no-one was able to crack the Nissan ECU program and successfully manipulate it that way.
