I do like that you don't have to mask. That's handy.

I have never liked chrome so I think even with my darker coloured X-Trail I might do the badges and the tailgate chrome strip and the front grill!

I still think I'd prefer to paint the rims though.

But the guy on Facebook used a much more complicated process of getting his car hand wrapped in vinyl film and they had to remove each and every panel from the car to achieve that. It's called "Car Wrap Pro" and it cost over $2000 to have it done in Australia.

The Plasti Spray method is way more economical and doesn't leave any adhesive traces when removed.

Re:

Hey Jalalski,

$114 is pretty cheap. I paid $30 for a can of it and roughly takes 1 can per wheel.

The key to getting a perfect finish is to apply it evenly all over. If theres a thin bit when peeling it off, that will be the weak point and tear along the thin edge until it reaches a thick point.

Ive just checked mine today and its a firm rubber now and I couldnt pierce it with my finger nail so Im happy with it.

Next is the front grille, badge and maybe the wing mirrors emoticon

Brillant thing is......when I come to sell it, all I do is peel it off to reveal a brand new unchipped undamaged car emoticon

Yeah Mark, I found this stuff on eBay as well selling for the same price and the 4 wheels kit comes with 4 spray cans, but I can't find the Glossifier anywhere (should I choose to make a glossy finish rather than matte)

Personally Jalalski, A glossifier on wheels is a waste. Road film along with grit and dirt will make a wheel matte after a few mins of driving anyway.

Ive painted a LOT of wheels gloss (my own cars) and now always choose satin or matte. My old man has 40 years in the paint industry (auto and powder) and he knows his stuff. He agrees that a gloss is good but not practical unless you dont mind the cleaning.

on a side note here about paint, I had my oldy create a powder batch of Snow Storm white emoticon............what can I do? wheels maybe?

Regards

Mark
