Re: What a waist of money. I can't believe us tax payers are forking out for 1200 of them. They can sit in storage with our Helicopter that can't fly unless the weather's perfect. I'd seen these back in Mt Gambier as pace cars at the Hill Climb. I laughed at how ugly they are. But now I feel sorry for our soldiers who would feel like they're being punished for needing modern vehicles to do their job. I don't even want to think about how much more these cost us then a Patrol or Hilux, etc.

Re: Also considering how expensive parts are for those over here. I don't expected them to last that long in the outback.
There are better choices of vehicles already available and in use that would be more reliable and cheaper to repair.
