Capped Price Servicing Queery

Hi,
Just had my 30000km service done on my TL Xtrail today.

Yesterday I couldnt find the sheet I was given when we bought it last year so went to the Nissan website and downloaded a new copy.

Strange thing is that the service costs for the Diesel Xtrail have dropped down in price compared to the sheet I was given. ( i found mine later)

And its not just a couple of dollars.

Todays service was $302 on the new pricing sheet its $218.

Brought it up with the dealer only answer was "I dont know" suppose to be going to look into it.

Anyone else noticed it?

Or know whats going on?

Pretty strange dealer has one price NIssan site entirely different.

Here is the download for the PDF file:
http://www.nissan.com.au/webpages/owning/Service_Charter.html#/service-charter

Just click on Xtrail...

cheers

I'd definitely be inquiring about that, as whenever I've had a discrepancy that significant it's usually because something major/substantial hasn't been completed.. Let us know how you go.

Re:

The hard copy sheet I have says that tha 30K service for the diesel is $298.51, so yes it has dropped in price and the cost is now the same as the T31 petrol for the 30K service.

Your Nissan dealer may still be charging customers the old price and he needs to be made aware of it.

Re: Capped Price Servicing Queery

HI,
The dealer was made aware of it.

Checked online where they get there pricing from and theres was still the dearer pricing.

Before I had the service done at Nissan I rang the local Toyota dealer and he quoted around the $300 as the oil is so expensive for them.

Same reason Nissan dealer said about why he couldnt understand how todays service could be only $218 as the oil alone is $111.

Has promised I will be reimbursed if they find out they are using the old pricing.

cheers

Re:

$111 for oil, $50 odd for the filter, and an hours labour for an apprentice, that's the 30k service.

Re:

Compared to the astronomical service pricing for the T30 guys, I reckon all T31 owners would be ahead.

I can't believe they're charging so much to service a T30 and expect T30 owners to service them with Nissan!

Re: Capped Price Servicing Queery

Hi,
Nissan now say the online price was a mistake.
I wonder if my local dealer will still honour the credit he offered me on Friday?

Maybe the pricing was the dealers price before there markup?

cheers

Re:

Nissan pulled the X-Trail price list from their online page to fix the error it seems.

It's not your fault they can't get their act together, so I would expect Nissan to compensate the dealer for the mistake.
