DATSUN is back.
Just found out that Nissan are re introducing their budget range of vehicles to the market.
They are to be released in India, Russia and Indonesia and production starts in 2014.
Could this mean that the 120Y and the 180B are on the way back.

It will only be available in 3 emerging markets (Indonesia, India and Russia) and it will be the cheap/budget brand of Nissan and nowhere near as good as it used to be back in the old days.

Apparently there will be no revival of the classic 120Y, 1600 etc. Just all small (probably plastic) cars built cheap for cheap markets.

That's exactly right. They're targeting the cheap market with this Datsun and precisely where the "made in China and Korea" cars are currently taking the lion market share in these countries.
A smart move indeed.
