Re:

I had our exy serviced today by Highway Nissan Springwood for her 100,000 km service!

What fantastic service I had once again and the price was even better than I thought!

With the X-trail forum discount included I paid $586.00.

So if you live local, go down and see the guys and gals at Highway Nissan and get your car serviced with a member discount!

Regards Scot

Re:

Just had a 20000 service at Nissan at Five dock , when i got the car back home i notoiced the oil metre was a block down (roughly 1 litre of oil) so checked the dipstick and it was 2 and a half notches down , so took it back and they told me they dont fill it to spec as u will get oil in the air box, i said so u have a fault with this model then? he said no, i said i have 4 diesel's and none of them have oil in the airbox, he scrathes his head and repeated the Nissan story, before that they said its normal to have oil in the airbox.
I am i missing something here??? The reason i went to Nissan is Ultra tune put 4 litres of oil in and told me thats what they take, Midas put the wrong oil plug washer on , it leaked about 1.5 litres and Mobile Lube didnt know how much oil it took when they quoted me for the service. There are sum very bad mechanics out there.

Share this "Nissan Fix" in the corresponding "oil on the air filter" in the diesel section mate. I bet the guys would love to hear this update on the "oil in the air filter" saga and how Nissan are patching it up. This is simply unbelievable!!

Re: Nissan Dealer Experience (The Good & Bad)

Hi,
We have currently done just over 6000kms in the last 3 weeks since getting our new xtrail.

Had the first service done and got them to do an oil and filter change.

And went for a drive down to Tassie and back.

Checked the oil yesterday after giving it a good wash and the oil level seems to be about half way down the notches on the dipstick.

What is the normal level meant to be?

Should I be checking the air filter?

Otherwise it went great.

Cheers

Re:

Oli should always read full to the top notch.
The car will run on only half the oil but you could run the risk of doing damage if most of the oil goes to the top of the engine and left a minimal amount to lubricate the bottom end.

Re: Nissan Dealer Experience (The Good & Bad)

Took my car into Westpoint Autos at Indooroopilly yesterday for the 1000k service.

Only reason I took it there was basically because I bought the car from them and the sale was so well done, fantastic actually, so the first service deserves to go to them.

Item requested to be looked at

Regular 1000k service stuff
Spots on the bonnet
Map upgrade
Back bumper alignment
Missing ashtray

What got done

map upgrade done emoticon
regular 1000k service stuff

what did not get done

rear bumper alignment - need to bring it in for a whole day so aftersales can look at it - phooey emoticon
No ashtray provided - will look at it and see if we can get one and you can come in and collect it emoticon
Spots on the bonnet - no mention of it at all and when asked about it - we can look at that when you come back for the bumper. emoticon emoticon

When I dropped the car off, service was very speedy. in and out in 5 minutes with a complimentary coffee. emoticon Car service to the nearest railway, 3 weeks notice for a courtesy car. emoticon

When I picked the car up, attitude was very lacklustre to say the least. emoticon

Luckily, I won't have to go back there again - not very happy. I asked them to send the ashtray out and I'll go to the nissan dealer on my side of town (Springwood or Mt Gravatt) for all the other warranty stuff and back to my mechanic for all regular services etc.

Thumbs down for them and my survey will reflect my dissatisfaction.

Re:

Hi,
What sort of map upgrade is available?

During our drive to Tassie and tried it around Toowoomba today the maps included seem out of date?

Is there anyway of telling which map is installed?

Cheers
Craig

Re:

Im a little conflicted in this post..

Firstly, am having issues with my CVT and Cindy, at Highway Nissan has been really good to deal with.

On the other hand, I am a little peeved at Nissan today.

Was in last week and they told me about a steering recall that needed doing but they didnt have the part but they could get it in that afternoon...but I couldn't wait around that long.
That was ok, we (Nissan Service Centre - Springwood and I ) decided to I booked it in today, (almost a week later) and so I took it on down.
After waiting two hours, they came out and told me that they didnt have the part in and it would take about 3 hours to get it in and then another 2 hours to fix.

At first, I thought they were having a laugh for sure....being that I had booked it in just to have that part replaced and they knew this.

So, frustrated ive come home, 40 mins away and now have to go back again this afternoon (leave in about an hour) to start all over again.
I am a little shocked and can't believe, they keep me waiting for two hours only to then tell me they dont have the part in again and I will have to come in later that arvo, when they do have the part.
I have taken the day off work...thought I would get the car sorted in the morning and some Xmas shopping in the arvo. My whole day off wasted by sitting around at Nissan (or travelling to and from there).

Hear my frustration?! Im borderlining livid!!
Cindy of Highway Nissan Springwood was lost for words. She too couldn't believe how the situation had unfolded.

I am really really starting to regret changing from Mazda to Nissan...I really am.
