T31 Front Camber Fix
The other day a noticed a slight wobble in the front wheels above 100Kph, I had a look at the tires and the passenger side(left) was unevenly worn on the outside 25mm.
I took the car to get a wheel aliment and the mechanic explained that the camber should be -0.24' +/-0.30' and my wheels are right -0.28(good) left -1.07'(bad). He went to adjust the left and found it can't be adjusted, so recommended rotating the tires every 5000Km. I left unhappy and confused. I was thinking the X-trail must have camber adjustment, that's fairly important right?
The T31 service manual states.
CAUTION:
• Camber, caster, kingpin inclination angles cannot be adjusted.
• If camber, caster, or kingpin inclination angle exceeds the standard value, check front suspension parts for wear and damage. Replace suspect parts if a malfunction is detected.
An inspection by Nissan has found no faulty parts and they have also recommended the 5000 swap, still unhappy.
I did some googling and found a X-Trail front camber bolt kit. I have ordered one for $55 and will have it installed and adjusted by the local tire place. See how it works below.

I will post some results and pics when the job is done.

Re: T31 Front Camber Fix
The best thing to do when taking your car for wheel alignment values is to print the factory wheel alignment and settings and show them to the tyre place. This will eliminate any doubt and any guesses. They can be found HERE

Re:
LOL I wonder what we can store in our glovebox that could cause the alignment error....potential buyers of the T31 will now start to wonder if the T31 glovebox is truly THAT huge
