On the subject of rugged country side I'll be bringing some recovery gear including Maxtracks so people shouldn't worry about the possibility of getting stuck. I've never needed to use the gear when I've had it with me

Re:

John and all,

I got a call this morning from the banners company which the dealers use and they have stock of that red banner with the X-TRAIL logo printed on it, it turns out it is more expensive that I thought and the pricing of it as follows:

Banner: $46.00
Pole: $77.00
Banner base: $66.00

Total $207.90 (including GST)

As much as I would love to have these banners during our event, I reckon it's a bit too expensive and we may need to arrange a fund raiser for future trips to have banners like that.

The custom made banner with our forum logo is even more expensive at $132.00 for the banner plus the pole and base costs.

Re: QLD & NSW Meet 7-9 October, 2011 (Registration Closes 12/9/2011)

Morning Jalal,
Funny thing, I was going to offer the dealer at Wynnum $100 to rent his for the weekend, so at $123 for the flag and pole, I'm more than interested in doing this. I'm sure we can make a base that has 2 cross pieces with 4 holes to secure it to the ground with tent pegs.
The one thing that remains, are you willing to place the order for me if I supply credit card details and have it delivered to you? I don't have a finance minister that I need approval from!

Regards to All,
 John

Re:

Hi John,

I agree that we can fabricate a base or have it attached to a towbar of a car and save $66 in the process.

I don't think it is fair for you to bare the entire cost of this banner and I was going to order 2 of them.

I have the phone number of the person in charge of this company and we can place an order with him over the phone.

So, let's see if there are other members willing to fund these 2 banners...

The total cost for 2 X-TRAIL banners will be $270.60 (excluding the bases) plus delivery charges. I would have funded the entire cost had I not already spent a small fortune on other trip merchandise which I will bring with me to the trip emoticon

Re:

Jalal, I'm sure that everybody attending would be happy to contribute $20-$25 / car towards the cost, after all we are going to spend more than that on fuel going there and back.

BTW from the look of the phone number of the Autovisuals website they are based in the Parramatta area so I'd be happy to pick anything up ands save on the delivery charge

Re:

Thanks Alan, that is appreciated, however I don't wanna burden any member with this additional cost, especially when we will all be paying the same amount for the forum BBQ at the caravan park.

I am still hopeful that Nissan Australia will bring along similar banners to the event, so let's see what they come back with.
